Master's level admission in industrial design

Students with a completed bachelor or equivalent undergraduate education of at least three years duration in industrial design, may apply for admission directly into the fourth year (master's level) of the one-tier Master of Industrial Design programme at AHO.

Application process

All applications must be submitted digitally through the online application service Søknadsweb. You can register your application between 1 February 2013 and 1 April 2013. 

The following attachments are must be uploaded to Søknadsweb in order to complete the application:

  • Transcript of records from previous relevant education
  • Digital portfolio of industrial design projects 
  • CV
  • Documentation of satisfactory knowledge of English

International applicants from outside the Nordic countries must be able to document satisfactory English skills. Read about the requirements here.

If you complete your bachelor's degree later in the spring or summer 2013, you must submit transcripts of records from the semesters you have completed by 1 April.

Please upload your documents in pdf- or jpeg format. Maximum file size per document is 15 MB.

In Søknadsweb you will first be asked to register as an international applicant. After registration you will receive an email with the log on credentials.

Please note that it will not be possible to submit applications after 11.59pm (GMT +1) 1 April 2013.

Incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration.

Response to the application
All applications will be handled after the 1 April application deadline. The results will be ready by 10 May. From 10 May you can log on to Søknadsweb to check the status of your application.

Financial issues

There is no tuition fee at AHO.

We do not offer scholarships.

General costs of living for a student in Oslo is app. 1150 euros per month.

Non-European students must document economic subsistence, NOK 94 400, in order to obtain a student residence permit in Norway. Learn more here.

Undergraduate diploma inspection

All applicants that get admitted to AHO must present original diploma with transcript of records from undergraduate studies for inspection upon arrival at AHO.

Applicants who hand in falsified documents will be reported to the police.
