Work environment and equipment
Together with the workshop we have worked to get a laser cutter at AHO, and this work is now nearing completion. Hopefully we’ll have one by august.
AHO now has a sewing machine at the workshops.
The toilets between the workshops are now scheduled for a makeover.
Due to us students not cleaning the workshops, the system has now changed and the workshops will close if the workshop masters decide it’s not clean enough. As soon as someone has cleaned them again they open up again – this means it’s now everybody’s responsibility to ensure a clean – and open- workshop!
SAHO is now working to get better and more seating outdoors, so we can enjoy the summer outside without having to sit on the ground.
After complaints from SAHO and the students Statsbygg have enacted measured to better the air quality at AHO, but some students still think it’s not good enough. We are on the case to find out if anything can be done to better it even more.
Happenings
SAHO has supported the student competition 120 hours and the exhibition from the workshop in Thailand.
Together with the pub we are arranging the traditional diploma party the first of June.
SAHO has arranged the på|tår talks since 2007 and will continue this tradition. På|tår is student arranged talks on everything interesting, and if you have a proposition on someone you would like to invite, please tell us!
SAHO is also represented in the admissions committee and is helping write tasks and evaluate submissions.
The school economy is now in the green again, and SAHO wishes to thank the Principal and the rest of the administration for a job well done.
If there’s anything you would like us to work on, please send us an email at studentutvalget@aho.no
Best wishes and continued good luck in your studies, The Student Committee at AHO (SAHO)
