This project is driven by how simple rules can generate complex looking structures, but still be repetitive and have a clear logic. Designing and searching for these rules has been the essence of the project. The idea was always to have some kind of grid structure to build up the wall and roofs. I wanted it to appear random, but used my experience from the initial studies to create simple rules for it. It will be repetetive but still achieve a random look. It will, of course, not look totally random, but it is nice to see that there is some kind of clear argument behind the structure although you can’t really tell what it is. The reason for having something repetetive is economic and fabricational.
