Bente Kleven has taught at AHO since 1991 and has since 2003 been employed as a professor at the Department of Architecture. For the past 6 years, she has had the main responsibility for the Studio course Multistory Buildings as part of the Master in Architecture. From 2006-2016, she had the main responsibility for the studio teaching for the 3rd and 4th semester of the Master in Architecture. Since 1983, she has been a co-owner and had a professional practice in LPO architects. Her professional core competencies are project and process management, urbanism, planning and regulation, feasibility studies and real estate development, application processes and detailed architectulal design. From 2013-2022, she collaborated with Estudio Herreros on the project for the New Munch Museum for the City of Oslo. From 1991 to 2018, she has been involved as a jury member or jury leader in over 30 national and international architectural competitions. She has held a number of architectural positions of trust and was, among other things, head of Oslo Airport's Architecture Council from 1993 to 1997 during the entire planning and construction of the first construction phase of Gardermoen Airport.
