Guest lecture: Angela Deuber (ADA)

The architecture of Angela Deuber is about the architectonic nature of space and experience. In her mind everything else except the basic architectonic elements should be intentionally removed from the project, to be able to express the sculptural presence of spatial form in a most strong and precise way,. The idea is that structure and architectonic elements, like walls, floors, columns, roofs, stairs, windows, etc. should be almost solely responsible for the physical formulation of experiences that themselves enliven our imagination in a distinct way. From the small houses to big projects, the idea of space, structure and precision of architectonic elements shaping distinct experience is obsessively present in her work, showing that it still matters what people experience in a certain space.

Angela Deuber was awarded for her work in many ways, like "Architekturpreis Beton" award for outstanding work with concrete, "ArcVision Prize. Women and Architecture" award, and with her exhibition "Physical Presence" at Biennale in Venice.

The lecture is open for all. Welcome!
