Guest lecture: Paul Marchant

We are excited to welcome Paul Marchant to give a guest lecture at AHO. Paul Marchant is Head of Product Design at Transport of London (TfL), which is responsible for the public transport system in Greater London. Marchant's work therefore involves everything from London Buses, the Underground, the new Crossrail line and all other modes of public transport in the largest metropolitan area in Western Europe.

Transport for London has a broad range of products and services, and a great design heritage to preserve and take into the future.

Transportation is key for a city like London to expand and to prosper. With Transport for London covering everything from motorised public transport to the routes taken by pedestrians, bicycles and cars, its design work affects millions of people every day. This means that the design role needs to engage with all stakeholders invovled to make this a successful contribution to the city.

The latest grand project from Transport of London is the £15.4bn Crossrail railway project which will open as the Elizabeth line in 2019.

We are very excited by this opportunity to get first hand insights into key design work in the public sphere of one of the world's leading global cities.

The lecture is open for all.

Welcome!
