Questions and answers about the corona situation​

Corona measures at AHO for staff

Take a self-test at AHO


In collaboration with SIO, AHO will now offer self-tests to all our students and staff who wants to get tested. The tests are free, easy to use, and you get them in the reception at AHO.
 

I'm not feeling good, what do I have to do?


If you have symptoms of illness, you need to stay home. If you are uncertain what to do, check with your manager. 
 

What happens if a student is infected with Covid-19?


If a student is infected with Covid-19, he or she must contact their teacher who will inform the head of the academic services Silje Nygaard. 

AHO will together with the student do an infection tracing, and the school will contact those who are defined as close contacts, and possibly needs to get a test. The school will send an email to everyone that there has been an infection case at AHO.

I have been infected, what do I need to do? 


If you have been infected with covid-19 you need to report this to your manager or to the head of HR Kjersti Coward (454 50 100). They have instructions on how to handle the situation. 
 

One of my students has been diagnosed with Covid-19, what's the next step?


If a student contacts you to inform you that they have been diagnosed with Covid-19 you have to inform the head of the academic services Silje Nygaard (402 41 481).

To ensure infection control and in order to carry out teaching as planned AHO offers a combination of physical and digital teaching this autumn

If you cannot attend your workplace due to the corona situation, you must contact your nearest leader for guidelines.
 

Can I travel abroad?


School trips
For this spring semester, AHO will not plan any trips. There are still many uncertainties, and the infection numbers can change quickly. 
 
Business trips
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs still recommends not to travel unless it's necessary. Each individual must consider the necessity of the business trip.

What are the new regulations for home office and meetings?


From Wednesday 15 December, employees at AHO will primarily work from home if this is practically possible. The exceptions are employees who have work tasks that must be taken care of at AHO. This assessment must be done together with your manager.
 

What're the guidelines for events at AHO?


Events must follow the latest guidelines from the government. You can find them here. 
 
It will not be possible to use AHO's premises for social events in the period up to Christmas. This applies to events for both students and staff. The ban on social events applies to both halls and common areas and the student pub.
