Questions and answers about the corona situation

Corona measures at AHO for staff

  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Wash hands thoroughly and often.
  • Keep at least a 1-meter distance.
  • Small groups rather than large congregations.
  • Keep AHO tidy so daily cleaning can be done.
  • Physical lectures in the studio. Digital lectures in group rooms and auditoriums.
  • The administration is working on campus as much as possible but may work from home on Tuesdays and Fridays.
  • Academic staff can work from home or from campus based on their needs.
  • We have to be able to keep a one-meter distance in physical meetings.

Take a self-test at AHO

In collaboration with SIO, AHO will now offer self-tests to our students and staff. You can get a self-test in the reception. The following students and staff can get a self-test:

  • You've been defined as close contact and have been contacted by the infection tracing team either from the municipality or the school.
  • You have not had the vaccine yet, and want to get at test.
  • If you have symptoms and you want to get a test. (We want to remind you to not come to campus if you have symptoms, but if you feel the symptoms appear during the day, you can use this offer. Remember to not return to your studio before the results of the test is ready.)

The self-tests are free

I'm not feeling good, what do I have to do?

If you have symptoms of illness, you need to stay home. If you are uncertain what to do, check with your manager.

What happens if a student is infected with Covid-19?

If a student is infected with Covid-19, her or she must contact their teacher who will inform the head of the academic services Silje Nygaard.

AHO will together with the student do an infection tracing, and the school will contact those who are defined as close contacts, and possibly needs to get a test. The school will send an email to everyone that there has been an infection case at AHO.

You can get more information about quarantine and testing at Helsedirektoratet.

If you have been infected with covid-19 you need to report this to your manager or to the head of HR Kjersti Coward (454 50 100). They have instructions on how to handle the situation.

I'm in the risk group, what do I do?

To ensure infection control and in order to carry out teaching as planned AHO offers a combination of physical and digital teaching this autumn

If you cannot attend your workplace due to the corona situation, you must contact your nearest leader for guidelines.

Can I travel abroad?

School trips
For this autumn semester, AHO will not plan any trips abroad. There are still many uncertainties, and the infection numbers in the different countries can change quickly. This applies regardless of the vaccination status among students and staff. Only domestic travel will be carried out this autumn by AHO.

Business trips
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs still recommends not to travel unless it's necessary. Each individual must consider the necessity of the business trip.

What are the new regulations for home office and meetings?

Home office - administration
All are welcome back to the offices on campus. We wish that the administration will be more present on campus, so they can serve our students and staff as well as possible. On Tuesdays and Fridays, you can work from home if you have tasks you can work on from home, and this does not prevent your other tasks at AHO. If some meeting needs to be physical on these days, you need to be present on campus. But mainly it is digital meetings on Tuesdays and Fridays should be free from meetings. This applies until the end of 2021.

It's also possible to adjust the work hours, and for example come in later to the office if you want to. In that way, you don't have to use public transport during rush hour.

Home office - academic staff
The offices are open to everyone, and you can also use your home office if you want to.

Big meeting
We ask everyone to be careful about big physical meetings in small locations. We still need to keep a one-meter distance. All meeting rooms have a sign with the maximum number of people there is room for.

What're the guidelines for events at AHO?

AHOs emergency response team are working on the guidelines for social events on campus arranged by our students. We will keep you updated when this information is ready.

All events at AHO must follow the current guidelines and be approved by head of technical operation Anders Rennemo, Anders.Rennemo@adm.aho.no

If I cannot find answers to my questions, what do I do?

If you have other questions than those answered here, you can send an e-mail to infocorona@aho.no. We also recommend everyone to ask co-workers, and to seek updated information from the health authorities.
