Welcome (back) to AHO!

Welcome (back) to AHO!

We can't wait to welcome both new and existing students. Here you'll find some practical information for the beginning of the semester.

 A new student at AHO?
As a new student, we have gathered a lot of information for you on the site Information to new students.

When is the Info Desk open?
The Info Desk is open from 9 am to 3 pm.
If you have any questions pop by the Info Desk. You'll find it to the right when you enter the yellow main entrance door. At the start of the semester, you'll also find a Service Desk manned by IT and Academic Services. Feel free to come and say hi and get your questions answered during the first week.

When is the cantine open?
The cantine is open from Monday 16. August. Opening hours for week 33 and 34 are 10 am to 2 pm.

Do I still have to reserve a seat to work on campus or in the workshops?
Students no longer need to book a seat to work on campus, but we are still in step 3, and the national measures ask that we register attendees at teaching activities, as well as where they are seated to facilitate infection tracing.

We ask all teachers to register who is present at teaching activities. The library has a registration system described on all reading seats. The workshops also have a system for registering who is present, and to keep track of the capacity. You’ll find information about this in the workshops

When are the workshops open?
The workshops are open from Monday 16. August.

In the period of workshop courses:
Week 33 and 34, workshop courses for master students from 09 am to 12 pm. Open to other students from 12 pm to 3 pm. On some days there will be courses from 09 am to 4 pm. You will find a sign on the workshop doors when this applies.
Week 35 to 39, workshop courses for first-year students from 09 am to 3 pm. Open to other students in the evening from 3 pm to 8 pm.

Is the library open?
The library is open from Friday 13. August from 8.30 am to 6 pm. If you want to use one of the reading seats you have to register in case of infection tracing. You'll find information about this on all reading seats.

Opening hours on campus
The campus is open every day from 8 am to 8 pm. Diploma students have access to the school a little longer, until 10 pm.

Register on Studentweb
The deadline for the course registration has passed, but if you have not done this please contact the Academic Services at studieadm@aho.no.
If you do not have access to Moodle, please double-check that you have registered yourself on Studentweb.

What about Corona and infection control?
We still have to remember to keep a one-meet distance. Read up on the latest corona measures at AHO on InfoCorona.

Here are some measures that are still important:
  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Wash hands thoroughly and often.
  • Keep at least a 1-meter distance.
  • Small groups rather than large congregations.
  • Keep AHO tidy so daily cleaning can be done.
