New national measures related to the Corona pandemic
08. December, 2021
The government held a press conference on Tuesday 7 December where new national measures were presented. The new measures apply from Thursday 9 December and initially for four weeks. After two weeks, the government will evaluate the measures.
The main message from the health authorities is that we must limit the number of close contacts as much as possible, but do not isolate ourselves.
At AHO, the new restrictions will have the following outcomes:
Teaching and exams
AHO will conduct written exams digitally in accordance with the exam plan. The remaining final reviews will be carried out as planned. Teachers must ensure that new requirements for distance (1 meter) and a maximum of 50 people in the same room are complied with.
If you as a student need a postponement of a submission or a digital home exam due to illness, quarantine or other conditions related to the coronavirus, please contact the academic services (eksamen@aho.no).
Work from home
In line with national guidelines, AHO's employees must work from home as long as it does not inflict necessary and important work tasks and services that require a presence on campus. This can be teaching, exams, public defences, research activity and first-line services. It is your immediate manager who decides where your workplace will be in the next 4 weeks.
Face mask
It is mandatory to use a face mask on AHO in situations where it is not possible to keep a distance of 1 meter. It is especially important that you always use face masks in the workshops.
Self-tests
AHO is still waiting for a new shipment of self-tests. As soon as they are in place, we will send out updated information.
Events
In accordance with the government's measures, there is a limit of up to 50 participants at public events at AHO where there are no fixed, allocated seats. For indoor events, the organizers must have an overview of who is present and ensure that everyone is keeping a 1-meter distance.
It will not be possible to use AHO's premises for social events in the period up to Christmas. This applies to events for both students and staff. The ban on social events applies to both halls and common areas and the student pub.
AHO WORKS STUDIO exhibition
An AHO WORKS STUDIO exhibition will still be held, but with the following changes:
We hope you will still enjoy the exhibition and see what your fellow students and colleagues have been working on this semester.
Best regards,
AHOs emergency response team
