How do we build literacy and practice? Learn how Systems Oriented Design has been used to change systems.

This year, AHO introduced a brand new Executive Master of Systems Oriented Design. The 3-year study programme is relevant for a range of people with background from different fields of expertise, who are working with complex problem-solving and interdisciplinary collaborations.

As an introduction to the dicipline, we are inviting you to join our digital webinar giving a sneak peek in understanding why and how Norway grew to become a leading star in using SOD to design innovative solutions achieving interesting results. As a part of the program, the presenters will also reveal some of the very interesting jobs that are open for Systems Oriented Designers today.

Webinar program:
15:00 - 15:10    Introduction by Birger Sevaldson, professor at AHO

Birger is central in the development of Systems Oriented Design. His research focus is to develop systems oriented design thinking and practice for meeting the increased challenges of globalisation and the need for sustainability. 

15:10 - 15:20    "Using Systems Oriented Design" with Lillian Olsen

Lillian is CEO and owner in Halogen AS. There she has proven how Systems Oriented Design is essential in complex problems, where the aim is to develop the best solutions for and with the customers.

15:20 - 15:50    Panel discussion with guests

Birger and Lillian invites Benedicte Wildhagen and Nils-Ola Widme to a panel discussion. 

Benedicte Wildhagen from DOGA is a driving force for sustainable value creation through design and architecture. Benedicte has been central in foster Systems Oriented Design in many successful projects.

Nils-Ola Widme is the former Deputy Director General in The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries responsible for Competition Law and Policy-making, currently Policy Director in Abelia (the business association of Norwegian knowledge and technology based enterprises).
