Performance: Come and Forget (OAT)

Join us for 5 toasts to mass acts of benevolent amnesia, with special guests.

Individuals are their own historians, we suppress some stories and emphasize others. But at the scale of nations and cultures, and especially in an age of ubiquitous digital memory, it has become more difficult to forget and more important to challenge what we do remember. Reflecting on history and its uses, and questioning the responsibilities of the research museum, the CCA launched a series of mass acts of benevolent amnesia: to forget one idea, person, or object, and explain how this would improve our lives.

Participants include Lev Bratishenko, CCA Curator Public; Dubravka Sekulić, architect; Mirko Zardini, CCA Director; Phineas Harper, Curator OAT 2019, and others.
