Norwegian real estate industry is at its mature stage with well-developed law and regulations. Norway has the highest rate of home ownership compared to other countries in the Europe area. From our initial research, we see an imbalanced power dynamic in the buying process which makes buyers feel passive and powerless. If home buyers feel powerless and being pushed to make purchase decisions under stress, it is unlikely the decision would be rational and informed, and buyers are at risk of making the purchase that they would feel remorse about it later.

This project is aimed at understanding what the new tool generative design is and what it can do for industrial designers. We focused on form-finding in product development, and did this through designing stools. Having a specific product that is not to complicated, we could better judge our results and it allowed for faster iterations.

We need to collectively address the challenges posed by unsustainable food consumption. It is a matter that requires measures at all levels of the food chain. Without giving the consumer the blame or suggesting that we are solely responsible for changing the current trajectory, our ap-proach has been to zoom in on the consumer role.

Today we see people walking down busy streets with their eyes glued to their phones. The unlimited amount of data at our fingertips and the screens they are on have changed how we act and treat the people around us. How will the relationships we have with our devices influence our development?

The development of us is a systems-oriented design and industrial design pro-ject aimed at seeking to understand these huge questions, to design a product that helps, per the research.

Sexually abused children can sometimes struggle to do things to care for themselves. The demand for help was so great. Although effective treatments have been developed, they are not widely available, and sometimes when children try to help themselves they often make matters worse. This diploma is about helping children to recover from the mental effects of sexual abuse by using self-healing products. The target user group is 7 to 14 years old survivors in China, especially left-behind children.
