The project explores the possibility of combining spontaneous agriculture with landscape remediation and public space revaluation in the post-industrial city of Panzhihua.

The project is based on the transformation of the water management system of a residen- tial neighborhood while proposing spaces and infrastructure for people to meet, cultivate and share with each other.

Inspired by Chinese traditional agriculture technology and traditional social places, this project addresses the environmental issues originated by the industrial development of the city through a waterscape that reorgan- izes, enriches and consolidates the spontaneous agricultural practices into a healing space for both local com-
munity and landscape.

The project can be explained through 3 main interventions: The terraced orchards,The path of water,The la- gooning system

The path of water is a harvesting, storage and distribution system for rainwater in order to reuse it for irriga- tion and phytoremediation. The main channel distributes the irrigation channel across the district into the terraced orchards.Panzihuha has a tropical climate influenced by the summer monsoon, during the rainy sea- son the channels collect the water and guide it into storage water gardens, these are protected by a tree canopy.
