International Master of Landscape Architecture

Students with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent three years undergraduate education (180 ECTS) in landscape architecture or architecture are welcome to apply for admission to the International Master of Landscape Architecture. 
For applicants to the Arctic specialisation in Tromsø we recommend knowledge of ecology and urbanism either through previous education or vocational experience.

Through your portfolio you need to show ability to design on an advanced level with a focus on landscape.

An eligible applicant has also the
  • ability to use a computer aided design tool (CAD, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop) on an advanced level and basic knowledge in GIS
  • ability to work with physical models, both as a process method and for presentation purposes
  • ability to use hand drawings, both conceptually and communicatively.

You need to document the following:
  1. That you meet the general requirements stated above
  2. That you have satisfactory English skills: 
Document your English skills through one of the following options:
  • TOEFL iBT: (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition with a minimum score of 80 points. AHO TOEFL code: 5000
  • IELTS Academic version, International English Language. Testing Service, British Council, with a minimum score of 6.5 points
  • Certificate in Advanced English or Certificate of Proficiency in English from University of Cambridge
The test results cannot be more than 2 years old, i.e. March 1st 2019.
