AHO Sustainability Dialogues: #2 The Challenge

The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) invites you to join the second edition of AHO Sustainability Dialogues on September 12th, 2024. What climate challenges do we face?”

AHO Sustainability Dialogues: #2 The Challenge
What climate science tells us about magnitude and urgency

Anne Sophie Daloz is coming for a lecture and dialogue event about the challenges societies face due to Climate Change. What are the realities and the mechanisms of Global Heating, and how can AHO's disciplines respond to the challenges it causes today and in the future?

Anne Sophie is a climate researcher at the Center for International Climate Research (Cicero) on climate impacts and local solutions. Her work relies on the analysis of observations, reanalysis and outputs from climate models and the realization of simulations with global or regional climate models. She has previously worked on various regions and processes such as tropical cyclones, snowfall, clouds or precipitation. Anne Sophie is now looking for opportunities to develop and use joint knowledge to support climate adaptation and action.

About AHO Sustainability Dialogues:

The climate and nature challenge requires new architectural and design practices. As part of a strategic focus on sustainability, AHO hosts a series of competence building sessions starting in the autumn of 2024. By engaging, creating shared understanding, and encouraging dialogue – the aim is to shift the way we practice at AHO to make us fit for the future. Sustainability affects how we teach our students, research, run our school, and practice our professions. The program is facilitated and hosted by a working group led by Rachel Troye.
