Course registration - Spring 2025
Here you will find information about important dates, how to apply for courses, specific information for your study program, and the principles for allocation of places.
Course presentations
Course presentations took place on November 21st. See recordings from the course presentations here.
Important dates for the course admission
- December 1: Studentweb opens for the first round of course admission
- December 12: Deadline to register your preferences
- Around December 20: Results of the first round of course admission published in Studentweb
- January 1 - February 1: Second round of course admission
- February 1: Final deadline for semester registration and payment of the semester fee
Please note:
- If you do not apply for course placements in the first round of course admission, only courses with available capacity will be open in the second round
- The course admission is done after the application deadline has passed
- The course admission is based on seniority. This means that students at the end of their studies are ranked higher than students applying for courses for the first time. In case of high competition, you may be offered a place in a course you did not apply for.
- All the courses you apply for must be equally relevant to you, as you may be offered a place in any of your prioritized courses.
- Some courses have prerequisites, which are stated in the course description. You can only get a place in courses by applying through Studentweb, not by asking the department or the course instructor.
- Course allocation is final; we do not operate with waiting lists or course swaps.
How to register in Studentweb
- Unless the course already is in your study plan, you can find it in the tab "My active courses" and search for the course code.
- For those who are in your Diploma or Pre-diploma semester, click ‘studies’ and ‘education plan’ and add the courses in the semester called ‘Spring 2025’. You should not prioritize elective courses if you are taking Pre-diploma.
- Contact your study advisor if there are errors in your education plan.
Specific information for the study programmes
- Master in landscape architecture
-
- Students in their second semester will have mandatory studio courses automatically added to their education plan and should prioritize elective courses.
- Students in their fourth semester will have the Diploma automatically added to their education plan.
- Master in architecture
-
You should register three courses in prioritized order (priority 1, 2, and 3). This applies to both studio courses (24 ECTS) and elective courses (6 ECTS). You must apply for courses you have not previously passed. If you are in your final semester before the Diploma course, do not prioritize elective courses, but add Pre-diploma to your education plan.
- Master in design
-
Students in the master’s program in design should continue with their Design Specialization 2 in the direction they pursued in the fall of 2024 and should only prioritize three elective courses based on their preferences. Students admitted to the 2-year degree in design will only be admitted to a studio course they were qualified for when they were admitted to the program.
If you are in your final semester before the diploma, you should only prioritize studio courses and register for Pre-diploma for both teaching and assessment. - Pre-Diploma and Diploma
-
Pre-diploma (6 ECTS) is a mandatory elective course in the final semester before the diploma/master’s thesis. Remember to add Pre-diploma to your plan if you are taking it in the spring, if it is not already there. If you are taking Pre-diploma, you should not prioritize elective courses.
If you are starting your final semester, you only need to add the Diploma to your education plan.
