The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) is organizing the first event in the series AHO Sustainability Dialogues on Friday, October 30, 2024. The first dialogue will address current practices. 
 
#1. Current Practice 
How industries are tackling sustainability, and how architecture and design are involved 

Sustainability is an overwhelming topic, but in business life it implies concrete actions. In this session we will hear about how drivers such as EU regulations, ESG (Environmental Social Governance), digitalisation, and new leadership roles are shaping new business practices. We invite to an interactive session with reflection and dialogue centered on what is being done today, and how architecture and design practices are involved.  

Speakers:  

• Anett Andreassen, economist and change manager, previously Statsbygg, now independent consultant within sustainability and digitalisation in Virvle 
• Camilla Moneta, architect, previously Snøhetta and NAL, now independent consultant within sustainability in Virvle 
• Jan Walter Parr, designer, previously EGGS, now independent consultant and part-time engaged at AHO 

AHO’s Sustainability Dialogues are aimed at students and staff at AHO, as well as other interested parties. Free participation.

About AHO Sustainability Dialogues:
The climate and nature challenge requires new architectural and design practices. As part of a strategic focus on sustainability, AHO hosts a series of competence building sessions starting in the autumn of 2024. By engaging, creating shared understanding, and encouraging dialogue – the aim is to shift the way we practice at AHO to make us fit for the future. Sustainability affects how we teach our students, research, run our school, and practice our professions. The program is facilitated and hosted by a working group led by Rachel Troye.
