Lara from Germany

Hei! My name is Lara, I’m from the south of Germany and I moved to Oslo in 2022 for my master’s degree in architecture at AHO.
 

Why did you choose AHO?

I consider moving abroad to continue my education being one of the most exciting, challenging and rewarding experiences I have made so far. The choice to go to Oslo was a combination of the school’s rigorous and internationally recognised program in architecture and Norway itself. I found it especially inspiring how deeply the closeness to nature is routed within the country’s culture, which is also a very important foundations for architecture.
 

What do you like most about AHO?

I would say one of the best things about AHO is the large variety of projects to chose from and directions to go in - not only within your own program but also interdisciplinarily. Furthermore, I just really like the vibrant everyday life at the school. I really enjoy going there to study and the school offers the perfect environment for its students to grow both professionally but also personally. 

Funfact about yourself

I sometimes listen to Christmas music in the middle of summer.
