Nomination process for partner institutions

Step 1: Log in to the nomination service

To be registered as a new user in the system, please contact us at international-office@aho.no. Please send us your/the name and e-mail address and specify which agreement(s) (or field of study/subject area) you are responsible for.

Log in to The Oslo School of Architecture and Design online nomination service here.

To log in the first time you must order the password from the log-in page.

Step 2: Choose the relevant agreement

After logging in you will see the agreements your institution has with The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (the agreements that are registered on your user). Select the relevant agreement from the list and click on the button “Add new nomination” to nominate a student on the agreement.

Step 3: Register nominated students

Please submit these details for the student:

  • Full name
  • E-mail address
  • Date of birth in the format YYYY.MM.DD.
  • Term(s) for admission

After completing the student's information, click on "Add Nomination" to save the data. After ca. 30 minutes the system will send a confirmation e-mail to the nominated student's e-mail address and a copy to you.
If you wish to cancel the nomination of the student, no e-mail will be sent if you cancel by clicking on the delete button (red circle with the white cross) within 30 minutes.

Please note: The data you have entered about the student cannot be edited once you have saved it by clicking the "Add Nomination" button. If you typed incorrect data, you must delete the nomination using the delete button (red circle with the white cross) and then click “Add New Nomination” to start the process again.

Step 4:  Upload relevant documents

As documentation submission may be a time consuming process, we recommend you to encourage the students to upload the documents themselves. However, partners may upload the student's relevant documents in the nomination process.

To upload the documents you go to Action - Documents and Details, and Choose to browse for the documents. The documents you open will be uploaded directly into the system.
You have the opportunity to download the document if you need to check the submission, or delete it if you want to remove it.

Repeat the process for each of the nominated students.

The application process for students

Please find information for students applying for Exchange studies here.

The nominated students will be sent an e-mail which contains a link to The Oslo School of Architecture and Design online application service ("Søknadsweb") and instructions on how to complete the application.

The students must complete the application by the deadline to apply.

Kindly note that AHO reserves the right to assess incoming students’ suitability for the specific study/programme based on their application materials (e.g. portfolio). Due to the limited number of study places available, students cannot be guaranteed a study place until their applications have been considered by the admission committee and they have received a written confirmation from AHO.

Letters of Admission will be sent out from the beginning of November for the Spring semester and from the middle of May for the Autumn semester. The student must accept their place of Exchange studies within the deadline given in the acceptance letter.
