Diploma project
Spring 2017
Institute of Design
The result of this project is a design suggestion foran adaptive digital application to assist nurses at pre– and post operativ surgical wards in hospitals.
For the nurses in these departments, working days are focused on facilitating patients to get through the pre- and postoperative process with as few complications aspossible and help them return to their everyday lives.
The application will assist the nurses in their work while they are with the patient. The application makes it easy to gather and analyse data to gain an overview of the patient's health status. It assist when considering nursing interventions, documenting and evaluating the effect of the care while they are together with the patient.
The design is a result of insights from observing nurses working at Lovisenberg Hospital, testing of prototypes and getting critical feedback.
