Mattias F Josefsson is a trained architect and artist. He is an assistant professor at AHO and part of the team teaching in first-year landscape architecture. Mattias is together with Espen Gleditsch responsible for the elective course in photography at AHO. He is a member of the team Dugnad Days that he co-founded with Alexander Furunes, Lucy Bullivant and Maria Årthun that are building a new community house in Sletteløkka Oslo. The project is funded by KORO and Bydel Bjerke.
Josefsson is educated at Bergen School of Architecture and Edinburgh College of Art including an exchange at ETH Zurich. He has assisted the Norwegian photographer Tom Sandberg and the American artist Jimmie Durham. He has had residencies in Contemporary Center for Art Kitakyushu Japan and Nordisk Kunstnarsenter Dale Norway. His projects range from architecture photography, art installations, participating and architecture projects.
Mattias has exhibited at Galleri Melk Oslo, Galleri ROM Oslo, Ogura Gallery Japan, Paul H. Cocker Architecture Gallery Canada and Oslo Architecture Triennale. His images have been published in Divisare, Dezeen, D2 and Arkitektur N.
