Miguel Hernandez Quintanilla

Institute of Urbanism and Landscape

Miguel has a diploma in Landscape Architecture from the Oslo School of Architecure and Design (AHO) and a diploma in Architecture from Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB).

He has worked at several design offices such as Mosbach Paysagistes in Paris and MiAS Architects in Barcelona, as well as the urban planning department at the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB). He has also been teaching assistant at the Urban and Territorial Planing Department (DUOT) at ETSAB and took part in the French archaeological mission Qasr Shemamok in Irak in 2017.
In 2022 he co-founded the creative collective MAAMITO, working at different scales of landscape and architecture.

Nominated for the EUmies Award for Young Talent in 2020, aswell as Archiprix in 2021, Miguel received the Newcomer Award from Design and Architecture Norway (DOGA) in 2023.
