Peter Hemmersam is an architect from the Aarhus School of Architecture, where he also received his PhD in 2008, titled "Fra shoppingcenter til by - en undersøgelse af det integrerede shoppingcenter". His research focusses on urban design. He is currently studying digital cities, Arctic urbanism, and the peri-urban landscapes of the Oslo region. He teaches urban design and urban design history and theory, and heads the Centre for Urban and Landscape Studies at AHO.
