Welcome to the start of the semester for all new 4th year master's students! See the programme below, for both international and Norwegian students. We're looking forward to greet you on your first day at AHO.

There is a mandatory orientation meeting for all new students Friday 11 august. After the meeting the new students are greeted by their Buddies, and you will do social activities the rest of the weekend.

The Buddy system is a Norwegian tradition for all schools from primary to university, where new students are connected with older students. The Buddy functions as a go-to for matters concerning your student life. We strongly recommend that you participate!

Programme

Friday 11 august

10:00-10:45: Orientation meeting

At AHO. More Information to come. 

11:00-14:00: Campus tour

Guided tour around the school in your buddy group.

15:00: Social activities

Team building activities along Akerselva.
Rooftop party at AHO. We will provide pizza, soft drinks and chips. Please bring your own drinks.
 

Saturday 12 august

11:00: Island Rebus

Meet your buddy at the Aker Brygge ferry station. We will take the ferry to the islands in Buddy groups. See time schedule for your group. You will need to buy a Ruter ticket for this journey. Bring bathing suits and towels.

14:00: Lunch break

You are free to do whatever you want. Grab some lunch and come back at 19:00 to attend the party!

19:00: Island party at Hovedøya

Please bring your own drinks and light snacks. Remember a warm sweater, it gets cold during the evening. OBS! Last ferry back 00:46
 

Sunday 13 august

13:00-18:00: Hike to Sognsvann

Meet up at the Sognsvann metro station. We will hike together to Sognsvann. Bring bathing suits and towels.
We will provide some Norwegian hiking chocolate and Solo. Please bring your own lunch and drinks.
