AHO will co-host this years Teachers' Conference

On Thursday and Friday June 23-24, AHO will co-host the 2021 ACSA-EAAE Teachers' Conference, together with the Pratt Institute.

This important annual conference is a collaboration between ACSA (The American Collegiate Schools of Architecture) and EAAE (The European Association for Architectural Education). Hosting the conference is an opportunity to help set the agenda for architecture education in Europe and the US, and to promote the issues that we believe should influence the teaching of architecture.

This year's conference has been named Curriculum for Climate Agency: Design (in)Action. Through a series of presentations, round-table discussions and lectures the conference aims to map out ways architectural education can be restructured to respond to the imminent threat of irreversible climate change, as well as its inevitable consequences: increasing inequality and collapsing ecosystems. Last year, faculty from across all institutes of AHO collaborated with Pratt faculty to develop the ten themes (tracks) that makes up the call for papers. These have now resulted in a series of submitted papers from European and American teaching institutions, and will be presented over two days.

The full schedule can be found here.
