Watch the students build Plattformen

For the 75th anniversary of The Oslo School of Architecture and Design - AHO Open, our architecture students from the first year did a project to build an installation on the campus. Watch the video of the building process.

"Plattformen" is a wood construction with a floor that is held by 20 different concrete elements. The installation wants to invite you into the campus area and create a meeting ground for the activities at the school.  "Plattformen"  facilitates everyday activities for students and staff, it works as an outdoor gallery for the student-run "Tirsdagsgalleriet", and it forms a scene for the events at the school during the year of the anniversary.

The project is part of the foundational education in architecture at AHO. For several years they have worked with full-scale constructions in concrete and wood. The project is done with a collaboration with Bygg uten grenser and different companies in the concrete industry, as well as Bergene Holm AS that delivered the wood. Teachers: Lone Sjøli, Jonas Gunerius Larsen, Mads Øiern, Katherina Putzer, Petter Kveseth, Sindre Wam, Carsten Oeding Loly.

The video is made by student Jonas Bråthen
