All incoming exchange students are required to submit a language certificate which shows that they have acquired a B2-level in English.

The titles and content of the courses for each semester may change from year to year.

Please note that the list of courses will be updated to the preliminary version for the next academic year by 15 April. The final version will be online by 15 June.

Winter semester: end of September – end of February
Spring semester: beginning of February – end of June

Exchange students can apply for accomodation at the University Halls of Residence in Ghent. In order to apply for housing, you have to initialize the application exchange procedure. The Housing Office will be able to process your housing application as soon as you have been accepted as an exchange student at Ghent University. Apply early, as housing is scarce in Ghent. Do not wait until you receive your Letter of Invitation.

What does it cost? 

As an exchange student you pay only the AHO semester fee. 

Who can apply? 

Architecture students who are in their 6th, 7th or 8th semester at the time of application.

Apply for exchange studies through AHO by 1 February / 15 September through the application form found here

The host institution application deadlines

If you want to start in the 1st semester, the deadline for application is 15 May.
If you want to start in the 2nd semester, the deadline for application is 15 November.
