Luis Callejas joins AHO
One of the world’s best young practitioners*, Luis Rodrigo Callejas goes from Harvard GDS to AHO.
Callejas has won an amazing number of awards, prizes and recognitions in a number of public spaces and landscape design competitions. Callejas, born 1981, in Medellin Colombia, has spent the last two years teaching at Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD), one of the world’s most interesting educational environments. - Luis Callejas is visible. He has international influence through both his practice and his teaching. In the autumn of 2016 he joins the faculty at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design’s Institute of landscape architecture.
Institute leader, Marianne Skjulhaug emphasizes Calleja's great graphic and conceptual abilities and the quality of his surveys, montages and scenario-oriented work. - His expertise ranges from a vegetation theory of urban design to territorial scale. His projects include intellectual landscape qualities, a thing very few design projects do. This has great significance in the northern territories. Luis Callejas was also the winner of the Pamphlet 33 Architecture Competition through Princeton Architectural Press, which asked previous authors in the series to nominate the architects and theorists whose work represents the most exciting design and research in the field today.
