Om emnet

In the professional design world, designers need to communicate and sell in their projects at all levels. To be valuable for an external partner the material needs to provide reliable information and justification for the presented design solution. In this course we train the students to develop this within their projects.

This course builds on the design skills and methods learnt across the previous Foundation and Master courses. In industrial design for profession, we integrate and push these skills and mindsets to create rich projects. Combined with a deeper understanding of society, businesses and design management, the students develop projects with a high degree of professionality.

At this stage we expect the students to have developed good design skills making them able to reach further with a strong sense of curiosity, experimental outlooks, and independency. The students should be able to utilize their interdisciplinary design expertise strengthen their competence in industrial design. We encourage students to tailor their own personal development as a designer in preparation for their diploma.

The core outcome of the course is to integrate and mature the processes and methods learnt across the Master of Design in the context of professional requirements.

The course is studio based within industrial design where project outcome will be physical products.
