Angela Kivle is an urban designer educated at the University of Western Australia, earning a Master of Architecture with Distinction in 2008, a Bachelor of Environmental Design, and a Graduate Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning (2015). She has international experience from Australia and the UK in architectural practice, has contributed to policy development and research for the Western Australian State Government, and worked as an urban design consultant for Urbis. Additionally, she has spent two years managing graphics production for an architectural practice in the United Kingdom. Her upcoming monograph-based PhD, titled "Unforced coexistence: Possibilities to touch, leave, merge and diverge at the urban periphery," explores the intersection between designers' intentions and everyday use in two suburban daylighting projects in the Grorud Valley. As a PhD candidate at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design, she has shared her ongoing research at public forums such as Oslo Urban Week (2022) and the Urban Transitions Conference in Barcelona. Angela has also recently provided her consulting expertise in landscape-oriented urban design for artist Anna Daniell's entry in the National Memorial after 22nd July competition (Nasjonalt minnested etter 22. juli) in Oslo.
