The project explores location based experiences and interactions as a way of enabling slower, more intimate experiences within the cityscape. It aims to reintroduce the sometimes overlooked qualities and facets of place, as well as adding something new to the familiar.
I have been particularly interested in the way sounds and narratives can be used as a way of generating an ambience or feeling to a specific site. My intention has been to find ways of achieving natural, tactile and multisensory experiences, using a digital framework as an enabling tool and a bridge between the individual and the surrounding space.
The outcome of the projects is an outline of a digital platform that introduces various sorts of ”aimless” activities within the close environment. The platform is imagined to be in continuous dialogue with place, where experiences are specific to hour, season and weather conditions.
