What is the duration of the semester? 

Winter term: beginning of November to end of March
Summer term: mid April to end of September

What does it cost?

As an exchange student you pay the AHO semester fee. Additionally, incoming exchange students at TUM must pay a student fee of €129,40 per semester (as of summer term 2018), including the Student Union fee of €62 and the solidarity premium for the Semester Ticket (transportation) of €67,40.

Accommodation

For students of architecture there is also the opportunity to apply to live at the Oskar von Miller Forum.

What does it cost? 

As an exchange student you pay only the AHO semester fee. 

Who can apply? 

Architecture students who are in their 6th, 7th or 8th semester at the time of application.

How to apply?

Apply for exchange studies through AHO by 1 February / 15 September through the application form found here
If you are nominated by AHO, you must register in the TUM portal application portal, fill out the online form which appears after registration, upload all necessary documents and send a hard copy of each document by post as well.

Winter semester: March 15 – May 15      
Summer semester: September 15 – October 31
Please note: Your nomination and supporting documents must be submitted to the TUM International Center by mail/courier no later than at the specified application deadline.
