Accommodation

Umeå University organizes housing for exchange students though the International Housing Office (IHO).

What does it cost? 

As an exchange student you pay only the AHO semester fee. 

Who can apply? 

Design students in their 6th or 7th semester at the time of application.

How to apply?

Apply for exchange studies through AHO by 1 February / 15 September through the application form found here

If you are nominated for exchange, you will receive application instructions and a link to the web page where you apply for courses available. You can apply for more than one course, as long as you rank the courses. In addition to applying online, remember to send your digital portfolio/home assignment and motivational letter to the international coordinator at UID.

Autumn semester and full academic year:
1 April – 25 April.

Spring semester:
Nomination deadline 1 October.
Application deadline for nominated students 15 October.
